Eco Caters, Los Angeles Wedding Catering Division, went a little south to Palos Verdes to a private residence for a romantic dream wedding.
The setting was perfect at the private residence of the parents of the Bride. They had 120 of their closest friends and relatives. During speeches we found out how far people traveled, which was far. They feared the fog rolling in during sunset, so as a part of the rentals, we had it tented, but had clear walls so the guests could see out. An idea if you are planning an event with a view, but with the chance of rain.
Guests arrived and refreshed their pallets with our Los Angeles Wedding Catering Divisions Organic Beverage Station of Lemonade, Iced Tea and Infused Water. Immediately following Ceremony, they gathered by the beautifully man made garden and patio area complete with built in bar which was fully stocked. Our Los Angeles Wedding catering crew tray passed hors D Oeuvres of Samosa with Marjoram Lemon Preserve Yogurt, Seared Albacore with Orange Grapefruit Slaw, Fresh Bruschetta with Tomato Concasse, Avocado Oil, and Preserved Lemon. A very popular item inspired by the Father of the Bride was Seared Scallop in a Cream of Asparagus Soup. This was such a lovely close group of family and friends. They just went with the flow. The flow took them down the heart shaped stairs to the tent for their dinner.
Traditionally, the Bride and Groom go first whether it is a plated meal, buffet or family style. At this Wedding they requested their guests eat first. So as they arrived into the heated beautifully lit tent they got in line for the buffet. As in traditional Eco Caters style, servers from our staff of Los Angeles Wedding Caterers stood behind each dish, served the guests their portion and answered any questions or concerns. They began with the salad of Mixed Greens with Goat Cheese, Sliced Almonds, 9 Grain Croutons, Goji Berries, and Avocado Dressing. Moving into the Main Dishes of Rosemary Marjoram Chicken Breast finished with a Sherry Wild Mushroom Sauce and Sweet Pea Ravioli with Brown Butter and Mint. Our Los Angeles Caterers created mouth watering sides of Gouda Mac and Cheese & French Beans with Crispy Shallot. After a few guests went through for their second time speeches ensued and the games began. They had an Easter Egg Hunt and a Flip Cup Tournament rather then a bouquet toss and a guarder toss. Great ideas to see who would be getting hitched next.

Eco Caters, Los Angeles Wedding Caterers, serves organic delights once again at The Marrakesh House in Culver City.
If you have not read our blog about this amazing venue, please refer to it. The Marrakesh house is such and interesting location for any event. You can have your wedding, birthday parties, company holiday parties and alike. The venue is open to outside catering, which Eco Caters, Los Angeles Wedding Caterer is there a lot. On this particular day we were celebrating the union of a young couple in love. The setting was perfect being that The Marrakesh House is exactly that, a house. The bride and groom are from two completely different cultures bringing together their families and friends, some meeting for the first time. How fitting to host them in a venue that is a home setting, much like those who have weddings in their own home or that of a relative. They chose this venue also because of its care for the environment. www.marrakeshhouse.com
Our bride and groom chose items that fit the likes of their guests with a variety of options. When guests arrived they were greeted by our Los Angeles Wedding Catering staff with Lychee Mojitos, the signature drink of the wedding and tray passing hors d’ouevres. The items they chose were Argentinean Lamb Skewer with Chimmi Churri, Seared Albacore with Orange Grapefruit Slaw & Spring Rolls. While guests were enjoying mingling and touring the interesting venue our Los Angeles wedding caterers were in the open kitchen putting the finishing touches on their salad, main course and sides to their buffet dinner. (Tip to save money: find a venue that has a full kitchen).
The menu was simple but was sure to satisfy all the appetites. Their salad was a Farmer’s Market Salad that included Best of the Market greens and vegetables with a house vinaigrette dressing. As a reminder, our Executive Chef shops personally at local farms for all the produce being used in every dish for every event. The main items being served were Braised Pork Shoulder with Roasted Garlic BBQ Sauce and Sauteed Pacific Fish with Mango Salsa. Again, all organic. The fish is from the Pacific because our chef does not believe in frozen foods. The accompaniments that Eco Caters, Los Angeles Wedding Caterer served up were Grilled Corn on the Cob and Steamed Market Vegetables.
In this blog our Los Angeles Wedding Caterers gave you a little insight to The Marrakesh House and a cost saving tip when planning your wedding or event. Hopefully this has been educational and refreshing information.

Eco Caters, Los Angeles Wedding Catering Division, puts together yet another successful Wedding. This time on Easter Sunday!
The day could not have been more beautiful. The bride’s grandmother opened her breathtaking home to an intimate group of family members and close friends. The home and its horticulture was obviously cared for by a very delicate hand. The green house and the surrounding greenery made this team of our Los Angeles Wedding Caterers want to stay all night in the hopes of learning from her way of growing. Of course, she has a full compost system and solar panels lining the back roof of the residence.
The ceremony was filled with love and peaceful energy. Some of the guests were barefoot and almost seemed as if they were floating on air. Did I just smell lavender? Now I am feeling zen! Once the Ceremony ended and while photos were being taken, your Los Angeles Wedding Catering staff tray passed champagne. Shortly following photos guests took their seats to be greeted with fresh baked breads and organic butter. The meal was served Family Style by our Los Angeles Wedding Caterers. We began with a refreshing salad of Mixed Greens with Goat Cheese, Sliced Almonds, 9 Grain Croutons, Goji Berries, and Avocado Dressing. There were four guests with a cheese allergy, so the Head Chef plated those separately so everyone would have the dishes as desired. The Main Dishes of Roasted Salmon with Garlic, Lemon, Black Peppercorn & Parsley and Portabella Mushrooms with Chimmi Churri on a bed of Roasted Garlic Angel Hair Pasta was served at the same time as the sides. Our host chose Grilled Broccolini with Garlic & Lemon and Grilled Farmers Market Vegetables.
We can not forget about the little ones. One way to save on the per person price is to have the kids that are under 14 years of age have what your Los Angeles Wedding Caterer simply calls a Kids Meal. We have a list of items to choose from. This host chose the Baked Chicken Fingers with Carrots, Green Beans, and House Ranch or Honey Mustard. Each child had both dipping sauces on their plate, so they were happy as can be. We suggest serving the children when the adults get their salad. This way they can eat and go play while the adults enjoy their entree.
As for dessert for this daytime Wedding, your Los Angeles Wedding Caterer set up Simple Treats Tarts and the coffee service through Eco Caters. At the end of the day everyone was very delighted with our crew and can not wait until someone else in the family gets married, so they can book us again. Woooo!!
Your Los Angeles Wedding Caterer took a road trip to Yorba Linda for grand nuptials
Who knew there were man made lakes in Yorba Linda that were so breathtaking. Our Los Angeles Wedding Catering team was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. This lovely couple decided to turn their home into their venue. The only way others would be able to utilize this venue is if you rented a home there. Do not worry, Eco Caters, your Los Angeles Wedding Caterer, gladly cleaned up the mess they made and then some.
Being their home is on the water and the parking is limited, their out of the neighborhood guests arrived by water taxi which was stocked with champagne. Those who were from the neighborhood were greeted by our Los Angeles Wedding Catering staff with tray passed champagne. So fun! I am sure the photographer, Susan Weingartner (www.susanweingartner.com), had a great time taking those photos. You can see her work featured here as well. Also in play was their live band. They were so fantastic! Everyone was dancing, not only on the dance floor, but all throughout the house and backyard. All the instruments were there, even a clarinet. If you are looking for a full band or even just parts of the band, the guy to contact is Geoff Rakness (grakness@hotmail.com).
While guests waited for the ceremony to begin, they enjoyed other drinks provided at the open bar and your Los Angeles Wedding Caterers house made treats. The groom is a big martini fan, so it was fitting to have several martini’s as their signature drink. The Chef’s Choice Cheese Display and Hummus Trio with all the fixings kept guests humming while they waited for ceremony. Their officiant was a little late, which is something to consider when planning your big day and the time line. Suggestion is to ask him or her to arrive 1.5 hours before your ceremony.
Immediately following the ceremony your Los Angeles Wedding Catering crew began tray passing what was soon to be the “best food at a wedding” some ever had. First up was our ever popular Truffled Grilled Cheese, followed by Thai Chicken Skewers. The spoons could not be picked up fast enough for the Seared Albacore with Orange Grapefruit Slaw. There was even a friendly tasting competition among the guests. The Bride and Groom also chose Roasted Chicken with Avocado, Sweet Corn, and Black Beans & our Grass-fed Beef Slider with Smoked Cheddar and Caramelized Onion.
Some of the comments the guests made were so flattering to your Los Angeles Wedding Caterers. “Is this really catering food?, It is Amazing!”, “The service was outstanding”, “Eco Caters comes in and cleans their mess…that is wonderful”, “I am going to have a party just so I can use Eco Caters”

All Organic Catering Services – Los Angeles Catering – Woronker Wedding
Eco Caters did an all organic catered wedding at the Smogg Shoppe on November 21st. The location was as beautiful as it was unique, being that it actually used to be a smog shop. This was no traditional Jewish wedding as we learned quickly about the unique passions that the couple shared, including their obvious love for music. After the evening ceremony, our servers tray passed hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour that included truffled grilled cheese; roasted chicken with avocado, sweet corn, and fermented black bean; and cucumber cups with mango, preserve lemon, chili, and lime. The hungry guests’ appreciated all of the delicious hors d’oeuvres but it was the truffled grilled cheese that was an overall favorite.
All of the guests seemed to really appreciate all of the organic food even though most of them had never experienced an organic catering event before. After cocktail hour, the guests as well as the bride and the groom took their seats and started with their toasts. We started the dinner with a beautiful herb mix salad with edible flowers , pea sprouts, heirloom tomato and avocado dressing. For the main entrée guests had their choice of a bisonburger with smoked cheddar, grilled onion and beefsteak tomato with house mustard, ketchup and hand cut fries; Coconut oil poached yellowtail with celeriac, lime zest, and cilantro; or polenta lasagna with grilled fennel, squash, and homemade rocotta and grilled broccolini. As everyone engaged in conversation and laughs, the bride and groom cut their cake and danced the night away. We have catered many events in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas and at this venue and will continue to bring organic catering bliss to the Smogg Shoppe.

All Organic Catering- Pasadena Catering
Organic catering is Eco Caters specialty and at the wedding of Vicky and Mike on October 17th, 2009 we were able to showcase our many skills. It was held at the beautiful Japanese American Museum in Pasadena. The décor was exquisite, the colorful lanterns hanging from the walls was a perfect complement to the rest of the museum. Once the beautiful ceremony was completely, stationary hors d’oeuvres were set up in the courtyard. There was a chef’s choice cheese display with market fruit and preserves and vegetable crudités with roasted onion dip and house ranch.
While the bride and groom enjoyed conversation with their guests before dinner, more hors d’oeuvres were being tray passed. Those startes consisted of roasted chicken with avocado, sweet corn, and fermented black beans; grilled shrimp with mojo and pineapple; and asparagus with crispy jamon. The truffile grilled cheese seemed to be the favorite of all the appetizers, as guests were reaching for their second and thirds.
Organic catering can definitely impress those taste buds that have never had the pleasure of really exploring what local fresh ingredients can taste like. For dinner we served a stellar salad mix with pumpkin seed, shaved purple onion, tomato, and sweet pepper vinaigrette. The guests’ then had the\ choice between ancho crusted ribeye served with golden beets, horseradish, and chive; herb crusted chicken breast with truffled potato and grilled squash; and the vegetarian option, spaghetti squash with portobella chimmichurri. Although some guest were skeptical about an all organic wedding, after getting a taste of what Eco Caters had to offer, people were very pleased and many asked for business cards.
Apple pie is a favorite dessert of both the bride and groom, so after dinner warmed apple pie was served to all guests that chose to enjoy something sweet after a filling meal. The event photographer Rob Greer took many beautiful artistic pictures which can found on his website http://www.robgreerweddings.com/blog/. The wedding came to a conclusion with all guests dancing the night away, and a very satisfied bride and groom. Eco Caters has been doing Pasadena Catering since they opened in 2007 and this was a very nice event.
Los Angeles Catering Company Eco Caters Wows at Marvimon
Eco Caters were pleased as punch to cater a wedding part at Marvimon in Los Angeles. We served a family style meal of Farmers Market Salad with Chevre, Grilled Sirloin with Fresh Herbs and Caramelized Shallot, Albacore Stuffed Tomato with Nicoise Olive, Mirepoix Quinoa, and Grilled Farmers Market Vegetables. This Los Angeles catering company loves working at Marvimon because it is a green venue and support those who strive to be green as well, like Los Angeles Catering company Eco Caters.
Originally build by an Italian race car driver in 1924 as one of LA’s first automobile showrooms, Marvimon has reinvented itself as a stand alone, super-loft open to events, exhibitions, productions, and fine living. It features 7,000 square feet , a vertical garden, is solar powered and has really nice decorative touches inside and out. An Organic Catering company with market fresh produce fits in so well here. Perfect for a large sit down dinner or party of any type. This is a sister restaurant to the super popular Smog Shop, and is just as cool.
July 26th 2008 Eco Caters at Rancho Del Cielo in Malibu. A hard to reach location, but worth every turn once you get to the top and have a view of the entire Santa Monica Bay and Malibu. Check them out the beautiful Malibu venue at ranchodelcielomalibu.com. They also have a great shuttle service to bring guest up and down the mountain.
Hors De Oeuvres included a Cheese Display with Market Fruit, Farmers Market Veggie Crudite with Spinach Dip and Sundried Tomato Dip, our famous Seafood Sausage with Radish Sprout, Roasted Tomato and Onion Crostini with Bagna Cauda (pictured), and Roasted Free Range Chicken with Avocado Black Bean and Corn Crème.
We also presented a buffet with Organic Beef Tenderloin with Red Wine Jus and Crispy Salmon with Dill Mustard, alongside Truffle Smashed Potatoes, Broccolini, and Wild Mushroom Quinoa.
The event was absolutely beautiful and the guests were loving the organic catering to go along with the incredible views. This venue encompasses the dream wedding you might think of having in Los Angeles and more particularly in Malibu.
