This couple contacted us with a special request. They wanted good quality, fresh and local food, and they wanted it to be mostly vegan. San Diego Wedding caterer, Eco Caters was up to the challenge. Eco Caters has many ways of substituting foods to create amazing vegetarian or vegan meals. So good that many meat eater won’t even notice!

After the couple was wed outside along the marina at Marina Village by Ceremonies by Bethel , organic caterer, Eco Caters, provided hors d’oevres for the cocktail hour. The couple chose our ever popular Chef’s Choice Cheese Display with Market Fruit and Preserve, and Hummus Trio with Tabouli, Olive Salad, and Grilled Flatbread. Guest mingled indoors and out on this sunny San Diego day sipping our homemade lemonade and ice tea. For dinner Eco Caters served our Farmers Market Salad. This salad includes, Best of the Market greens and seasonal vegetables with a vegan house vinaigrette dressing. For the main entrée we searved California inspired Grilled Chicken Breast with Mango and Avocado, vegan Portabella Mushrooms with Chimmi Churri on a bed of Roasted Garlic Angel Hair Pasta. These items were served with sides of rich vegan Truffle Potato Puree, and vegan French Beans with Crispy Shallot. All the friends and family of the couple enjoyed it all. After cutting their cake and serving cupcakes, the couple danced into the night to the sounds of My DJs.  The evening turned out beautifully with coordination by First Comes Love events.

San Diego Organic Catering for an Simple but Chic Wedding

Eco Caters was so happy when this coupled booked with us! Not only is Levyland one of our favorite venues, but this couple was so laid back and fun to work with.  About a week before the wedding the weather drastically changed, we needed to move the entire thing indoors. Levyland has a large garage, which has 2 full glass walls, making it feel like a green house and not a garage at all. With a little pipe and drape and some lighting, the space turned into the most intimate affair. The ceremony was held in the main house living room, which features ceiling to floor windows. With its great views of the ocean, it makes it feel like you are still outside.

After the ceremony, Organic Wedding Caterer, Eco Caters, served cocktails and hors d oeuvres. This included our Hummus Trio with Tabouli, Olive Salad, and Grilled Flatbread and Antipasto with Marinated Artichoke, Sweet Peppers with Arugula, Marinated Cherry Tomato with Mozzarella, and Mixed Olives. Guest then moved into the reception space, which featured beautiful linens by A Perfect Table, and the most unique centerpieces made by the bride and her mother.

Dinner started with a fresh from the farmers market salad, provided by Organic Wedding Caterer, Eco Caters. This salad features the Best of the Market greens and seasonal vegetables as well as our tangy house vinaigrette dressing. For the main entrées, guest were treated to our vegetarian Portabella Mushrooms with Chimmi Churri on a bed of Roasted Garlic Angel Hair Pasta and Grilled Chicken Breast with Mango and Avocado. This San Diego Organic Caterer prepared Herb Roasted Potatoes and Grilled Farmers Market Vegetables for the sides. Guest were all very happy with the meal.

The wedding party and friends danced into the night, sipping the couples signature cocktail of blood orange soda and champagne, a must try. They ended the night with cake served by VG bakery, a local favorite. San Diego Wedding Catering for Fun Loving Couple

Organic Wedding Catering Company, Eco Caters, was so pleased by the wedding of Chris and Emily. This couple was so fun loving and a true joy to work with. They hired Eco Caters as not only their Organic Wedding Caterer, but also as their Day of Coordinator. With the help of their coordinator, they turned the Thursday Club’s ballroom into a beautiful bevy of navy, deep  pink, and greens. Tables were covered with rich navy blue linens from A Perfect Table. For the centerpieces we alternated silver cupcake stands by Enticing Tables and low centerpieces by created by Rae Florae .  Stunning.

The ceremony took place outdoors in the Thursday Club’s garden, with the cocktail hour indoors. For the cocktail hour, Organic Wedding caterer, Eco Caters, prepared our crowd pleasing Chef’s Choice Cheese Display with Market Fruit and Preserve, zesty Antipasto with Marinated Artichoke, Sweet Peppers with Arugula, Marinated Cherry Tomato with Mozzarella, and Mixed Olives. The couple chose to add our Eco Caters Mixed Sliders, a tasty medley of little sandwiches all filled high-end ingredients. We offered the Muffoletta with Olive Salad and Provolone, house made grilled Albacore Salad with Nicoise Olives and our Poached Asparagus with Hard Boiled Egg. Guest chatted and nibbled while the bride and groom gave a speech of thanks and the catering staff set up their dinner buffet.

For dinner, Organic Wedding Caterer, Eco Caters started with Suzie’s Farm Spinach Salad with Roasted Red Peppers, Chevre, and Tomato Vinaigrette. For the main meal, Organic caterer, Eco Caters served our Grilled Organic Hanger Steak with Fresh Herbs and Caramelized Shallot, Blackened Catfish with Shrimp Ettouffee served with Gouda Mac and Cheese and Roasted Asparagus marinated in Grapefruit Juice on the sides.

The night ended with the Bride and Grooms last dance and a funny decorated car. Eco Caters has so much to offer in the catering aspect, as well as Full Service and Day of Coordinators. When our friend Eric of AV event design contacted us for his upcoming wedding, we knew it was going to be amazing. They chose Botanica, a flower studio in little Italy, as the back drop for their ceremony and reception. Botanica was a great place for this party, filled with lots of flowers and eye catching design elements. The bride chose to use simple yet classic honey shantung linens for the belly bars, provided by A Perfect Table. She also rented some high Chiavari chairs for guest to relax at the belly bars with, this is a great idea if you are having a cocktail themed wedding reception with not enough seating for everyone.

Organic wedding caterer, Eco Caters put together a lavish feast for our fun New Years Eve couple. The couple wanted to throw a great party with lots of different foods. They didn’t want a typical sit down meal. Organic wedding catering company, Eco Caters put together an array of small plates for their friends and family. After the ceremony ended, Eco Caters brought out multiple trays of our  Chef’s Choice Cheese Display with Market Fruit, Preserve and Sliced Meats, Mezze Platter with Hummus Trio, Tabouli, Olives Salad, and Grilled Flatbread, and Antipasto with Marinated Artichoke, Sweet Peppers with Arugula, Marinated Cherry Tomato with Mozzarella, and Mixed Olives. These trays were sat all over Botanica’s shelves and table tops, which was a great way to give all the guest easy access. For the main dinner, Eco Caters, an organic catering company served small plates of  our fresh Spinach Salad with Roasted Red Peppers, Chevre, and Tomato Vinaigrette, savory Porter Marinated Tri-Tip with Green Peppercorn Sauce, tangy Grilled Chicken Breast with Mango and Avocado. For sides the bride and groom chose  Truffle Potato Smashed with Skin and Grilled Farmers Market Vegetables. Everyone really enjoyed the tasty food prepared by San Diego Wedding caterer, Eco Caters. The party ended with AV Event Design steaming the New York city ball dropping at midnight!

This feast was for a wedding in Temecula. San Diego Caterer, Eco Caters, travels all over southern California catering events almost everywhere. For this meal we started with our crowd pleasing Chef’s Choice Cheese Display with Market Fruit and Preserve, and our homemade Hummus Trio with Tabouli, Olive Salad, and Grilled Flat-bread. For dinner, San Diego caterer, Eco Caters served our fresh from the Farmers Market Salad, Spicy Coconut Curry with Market Vegetables and Coconut Rice, and our decadent Butternut Squash Ravioli with Brown Butter and Crispy Sage. For sides the Bride and Groom chose, Gouda Mac and Cheese, and grilled Green Beans. Everyone loved the meal, and most guest didn’t even notice it was completely vegetarian. This bride and groom we originally married in Scotland and this night was for their stateside guests. The bride chose fresh white linens with rich brown napkins. The flowers were sweet and simple wildflowers, which added a nice burst of color on all the tables. Her friends made the cutest cupcakes and her uncle gave a very heartfelt speech. It was a lovely evening and San Diego caterer, Eco Caters was pleased to be part of it.

San Diego Caterer, Eco Caters, could not wait to work with this unique and fun couple. With the bride being a photographer and the husband a graphic designer, we new this wedding was going to be super cool. The couple chose to start the cocktail hour off with blackberry mojitos and  our fresh and unique passed appetizers. These consisted of  savory Roasted Chicken with Avocado, Sweet Corn, and Fermented Black Bean, zippy Carrot Orange Shooters, decadent Turkey Sliders with Apple and Arugula, refreshing Cucumber Cups with Mango, Jicama, Chili, and Lime. For dinner, Eco Caters, a San Diego Catering company prepared a mix of Mulit-grain and fresh Challah served with Honey Whipped Butter. For the salad we plated Mixed Greens with Cucumber, Tomato, Carrot, and Garlic Croutons with House Made Buttermilk Ranch. The guest has a choice of Porter Marinated Tri-Tip with Green Peppercorn Sauce served with Truffle Potato Puree and Grilled Asparagus, or Grilled Vegetable Lasagna with House Made Ricotta for their main entree. The meal went out with out a hitch and everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

Eco Caters then cut and served a delicious wedding cake made by Sweet Cheeks Bakery. With the cheery linens, by A Perfect Table, stunning and intriguing flowers by Rae Florae and seamless coordination of Amorology, this wedding was exactly what the new couple deserved, perfection.

Levyland is a great place to get married or hold any event. They offer room for up to 10 people and you can stay there for a whole week! We actually never met the bride until the big day! She planed the whole affair from afar with the help of Kristin from A Taylored Made Wedding, and a few loving friends. We really wanted to WOW the couple, and this San Diego Wedding Catering team did just that!

We started the cocktail hour with spicy Argentinean Lamb Skewer with Chimmi Churri, fresh Seared Albacore with Orange Grapefruit Slaw, and Fresh Bruschetta with Tomato Concasse, Avocado Oil, and Preserved Lemon, all prepared by San Diego Wedding Caterer, Eco Caters. While guest sipped on our house made lemonade and ice tea, the bride and groom formed their receiving line at the front door, welcoming each and every guest inside.

Once seated, San Diego wedding catering company, Eco Caters served champagne and cider along with our Herb Mix salad with Edible Flowers, Pea Sprouts, Heirloom Tomato, and Avocado Dressing. It was truly a very pretty summer salad! We then served a choice of Ancho Crusted Ribeye with Horseradish Beets and Scallion, Coconut Oil Poached Yellowtail with Celeriac, Lime Zest, and Cilantro, or Roasted Zuchinni with Parmesan and Panko finished with Deep Fried Squash Flowers and Marjoram Yogurt. The bride and groom were so please, the groom ate two plates! Guest chatted and enjoyed watching the cake being cut as they finished their meal. The cake was provided by sweet cheeks bakery and had the most delicate and wonderful design. All pictures were taken by Kayden Studio, a very cheery couple who fit perfectly into the crowd and got some amazing shots!

This home was an amazing place to hold a wedding. Their neighbors were gracious enough to allow them to hold the ceremony in their front yard, which worked perfectly. When holding a wedding at you home always try to think out of the box for ways to use the space. We removed a grill and turned the space into a bar. The family moved all of the lounge furniture onto the grass to make way for a dance floor. They had plenty of space for everything!

I have been telling you for awhile that Eco Caters loves doing custom menus, and here is proof! We were thrilled when this forward thinking couple asked us to put together a station style meal! A station meal is a new trend that brides are constantly asking us about, and San Diego caterer, Eco Caters, loves!

For this meal we put together a cocktail hour featuring a chilled seafood station. San Diego caterer, Eco Caters, prepared fresh Ceviche, Shrimp, Oysters, Clams, Mussels, all served with our Lemon Caper Aioli, and Cocktail Sauce. Guest mingled and chatted while our servers circled the room with our crowd-pleasing Ground Sirloin Sliders with Smoked Cheddar, Roma Tomatos, and Homemade Aioli, zesty Thai Chicken Skewers, fresh Bruschetta with Tomato Concasse, and refreshing Cucumber Cups with Mango, Preserve Lemon, Chilli and Lime. Guest nibbled on all the goodies while sipping on the couples signature drinks, Mai Tia’s and White Sangria.

Once guest were seated, Eco Caters, a San Diego Catering company, served plated salads of Mixed Greens with Cucumber, Tomato, Sliced Almonds, Garlic Croutons, and Avocado Dressing. Guest were then excused from their tables to enjoy the stations the couple and Eco Caters designed together.

They chose to have a pasta bar with our Angel Hair Pasta Checca and Garlic French Bread, a carving station with Rosemary and Garlic Stuffed Tri Tip served with Sauce Gribiche and Roasted Asparagus Marinated in Grapefruit Juice, Roasted Marjoram and Thyme Scented Chicken with Au Jus and Grilled Farmers Market Veggies. Lastly, they had a Yukon Gold Mashed Potato bar! This was very popular. Served in martini glasses with all the trimmings. Guest topped their potatoes with House Cured Bacon, Roasted Garlic, Chives, Crème Fraiche, Cheddar Cheese, Crabmeat Cream Sauce and a Red Wine Gravy.

To top of the amazing meal, the couple created a beautiful room. It was filled with the most beautiful centerpieces. Some even featured driftwood, which gave it a chic beach vibe. The linens were stunning, provided by our favorite linen lady, Irene of A Perfect Table. The room looked picture perfect! Sharon Cole, of A Dream Wedding really outdid herself, even bringing in square tables, something never done in this space before ! Eco Caters felt very lucky to be asked to cater such a lovely fete!

San Diego Catering company, Eco Caters provided a Vegetarian Feast for a beautiful backyard wedding.

On this warm summer day, guest were greeted by adorable ice teas served in tiny mason jars. Which really helped set the mood for this simple, sweet and beautiful backyard wedding. Not really a backyard, more of a large field complete with horses and a pond! The bride chose to stay sustaible by using baby succulents as her favors and large ones for centerpieces. She painted reclaimed wood for her table numbers and choose fresh honey colored linens for all the long, family styled tables. The groom made his own beer, San Diego caterer, Eco Caters served amazing local, organic food, many hot air balloons flew overhead, and the great Jesi Haack was there to flood every corner with beauty and creative details.

We started the hungry bunch off with our Chef’s Choice Cheese Display with Market Fruit and Preserves, freshly made Mezze Platter with Hummus Trio, Tabouleh, Olive Salad, and Warm Pita. Then, San Diego caterer, Eco Caters served up a seriously delicious buffet of Farmers Market Salad with the Best of the Market Greens, strawberries and goatcheese, all served with a Pear Vinaigrette Dressing. The buffet continued with our savory Nuts about Mushrooms Pasta Penne with Sherry, spicy Vegetarian Burritos with Rice and Black Beans, Mirpoix Quinoa, and Grilled Broccolini with Garlic and Lemon. For dessert the newlyweds presented their guest with a refreshing acia bar, featuring Sambazon sorbet, complete with healthy toppings. What a great way to finish off a summer meal!

The guest then danced under the stars to the pleaseing beats of DJ Chris Chamberlin. As the bride and groom ran to their get away car and escaped into the night.

San Diego Wedding Catering Company Prepared an Organic Meal

Eco Caters, a San Diego Wedding Caterer, helped prepare a spicy and savory meal for this super fun and laid back couple. During their first tasting it was clear they had a few ideas. They wanted something spicy and Brussels sprouts. Eco Caters was their to give them their dream meal.

Guest started out with some savory stationary appetizers, including our Chef’s Choice Cheese Display with Market Fruit and Preserve and Local Honey, and our very popular Hummus Trio with Tabouli, Olive Salad, and Grilled Flatbread. After minguling and chatting with the most calm couple I have ever met, guest feasted on our fresh Farmers Market Salad which includes, Best of the Market greens and vegetables with a house vinaigrette dressing. They were then treated to our sweet Kahlua Pork and spicy Creole Style Blackened Catfish. For sides we offered decadent Brussels Sprouts with Mustard and Mirepoix Quinoa. For dessert this couple chose one of Enticing Tables beautiful cupcake displays to help them show off their dessert. The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing all took place in their backyard. It was amazing. This couple completely changed their entire backyard. They moved out all their summer furniture and replaced it with long tables and lush linens. After the ceremony the chairs were moved to the tables, exposing their dance floor! The bar was set in a far corner, which worked great for the flow of the party. They even had space for a live band. San Diego Wedding Catering company, Eco Caters, was set up in their front yard, hidden from the rest of the party. This just shows that with a little elbow grease, anything is possible.
