By utilizing a beautiful Los Angeles wedding venue and a few key vendors you too can relieve yourselves of the overwhelming burden of wedding planning and create the best wedding in Los Angeles that fits your personality and pocketbook. Here’s How!
No matter what weekend out of the year it is, the city of Los Angeles is grinning at another couple getting married. The weather is always superb; the sun is always shinning, and there are thousands of venues and vendors to help you pull of the most amazing wedding.
On the other hand, with so many options out there in such a vast city, planning your Los Angeles wedding can be overwhelming. Where do you even begin?
Last week I had the pleasure of taking part in Jenn and Lloyd’s wedding and it was such a beautiful affair. A lot of times Los Angeles weddings can seem like such an undertaking, yet the couple pulled together something so simple and fun I thought it would be helpful wedding advice for those of you planning your own wedding to see it broken down.
THE SMOG SHOPPE
The first thing couples look for when planning a Los Angeles wedding is the venue. One of my absolute favorite wedding venues in Los Angeles is the Smog Shoppe. Smog Shoppe weddings seem to be a little more fun and exciting than the others. There’s just something special about the layout and the vibe of the indoor/outdoor wedding venue that gets people in a swinging mood.
A Smog Shoppe wedding is also great because couples can have the ceremony and their reception all in one spot. It’s also a eco friendly. They have solar panels, reusable rain water tanks, and its made of recycled materials. The Smog Shoppe is a great venue for your green wedding.
The all-organic and locally sourced Los Angeles wedding catering company is a perfect match with the Smog Shoppe. The Eco Caters kitchen is located directly across the street from the wedding venue making it a breeze. Eco Caters also does tons of events with the Smog Shoppe and the two have a great relationship with one another.
For Jenn and Lloyd’s wedding the organic Los Angeles wedding catering company put together a crowd pleasing menu all created from local farms, in season produce, and everything is certified USDA organic.
FRESH FLOWERS, CHALKBOARDS, & BEER BOTTLES
Decorating the Smog Shoppe is pretty easy considering it comes with amazing décor. Jenn and Lloyd built on that by adding fun chalkboards for signs and menus. They also had a passion for beer and made creative centerpieces for each table by placing fresh flowers in assorted beer bottles.
The couple also made their own candles using the bottoms of wine bottles.
MICHAEL FARMER PHOTOGRAPHY
To capture and bottle this amazing day for the couple to enjoy for years to come, they hired an amazing Los Angeles wedding photographer by the name of Michael Farmer. Michael has a beautiful eye for detail and was so fun to work with. Please take a moment to scroll through his website: MichaelFarmerPhotography.com
