We love newlyweds Nicole and Joey, and Green Wedding Shoes for featuring their fun Los Angeles wedding!
From the Bride: “We had the best vendors in the world, Brandon Kidd for photography, Courtney Caplin-Cotter for day-of-planning, Eco Caters. They were all simply amazing and we kinda want all of them to be our friends!”
We kinda want them to be our friends too.
Our Los Angeles wedding catering team some how keeps running into Nicole and Joey at other weddings we’re catering, and we are so excited when we see them. They are such a fun couple and their smiles radiate to the people around them. Their wedding turned out beautifully and we encourage you to drool over their wedding photos along with us.

Marin is just as beautiful as her eye… Wait. That didn’t come out right. What I meant to say is she’s a beautiful woman and she takes beautiful photos! (Both eyes work just fine.)
Marin Rosche has quickly become one of our favorite Los Angeles wedding photographers. She’s talented, modest, great sense of humor, and so fun to work with. Her photography speaks for itself really.
Here’s Marin Rosche in her own words: “To be honest, I’m not much of one for talking about myself, but I am much obliged to reveal a few little tidbits. I’m from San Diego, and will one day own a house in Santa Barbara, or Costa Rica, or even better, both! I love bike rides with my husband and our daughter, errr, dog, Sydney. I always hope for colder weather. I lived in Italy for five months and can’t wait to go back. Led Zeppelin will always hold a very special place in my heart. And I love popcorn. We can’t forget that.”
Anyone who holds Led Zeppelin in their heart has room in ours. The last event we did with Marin was Erin and Dan’s beautiful country wedding at the Paramount Ranch, which is LINKED HERE.

The true cost of a wedding knot. I know this isn’t the most exciting thing to say but, statistics are fun! Especially when they’re helpful and look cool.
There are tons of Los Angeles wedding caterers in southern California and they’re good at pumping food out of their kitchen. These Los Angeles wedding caterers generally buy frozen or premade food and arrange them on a platter that they’ve jazzed up with a few flowers. Since your wedding is a once in a lifetime occasion and you generally don’t hire catering companies on a regular basis, you probably won’t realize the details your catering company will skimp on until it’s all said and done. This is where Eco Caters comes in!
Our Los Angeles wedding catering company realize that a wedding is a once in a lifetime occasion, and we pride ourselves on our unwavering dedication to detail. We are experienced chefs, servers, event coordinators and food artists; we take care of the details that matter so you won’t have to worry about them the day or your event. We are an all-organic Los Angeles wedding caterer. Eco Caters is based out of Los Angeles, San Diego and most recently, Washington D.C. Our catering company uses certified organic food that’s been locally sourced and seasonally grown. Starting with our sourcing and ending with the garnish on each plate, we believe it’s these details that make our food taste undeniably fresh, mouth wateringly flavorful, and overall making your Los Angeles wedding catering the wedding food of your dreams.
Below are photos taken from the recently catered wedding of Annie and Jon. Dana Strommen, Eco Caters’ Event Coordinator, worked with this lovely couple to create the ideal wedding menu; from the hor‘dourves served at cocktail hour to the wedding couple’s post ceremony sampler platter; it’s all in the details. I wanted to share these photos with you because they demonstrate the personalized details our catering company puts into each and every one of our clients’ events over another Los Angeles wedding caterer. See for yourself. All photographs curtesy of wedding photographer Braedon Photography.
Erin and Dan designed their one-of-a-kind wedding at the Paramount Ranch by infusing their quirky personality, sense of adventure and detailing it with a little rustic décor.
The Paramount Ranch was used 50 years ago as a western film set, but it’s no ghost town. The Paramount Ranch is a one-of-a-kind wedding spot and if you’re in the market for a wedding location you owe yourself a visit. It’s cheaper to rent than almost any place in Los Angeles, and it’s beautiful! It does not have an on-sight kitchen for Los Angeles wedding caterers to use but there is plenty of space for for a caterer. (Los Angeles also has plenty of places to rent kitchen equipment.) There’s a reason so many TV shows and movies were filmed on the 2,700-acre ranch. The scenery is peaceful, untouched and breathtaking. You can walk in any direction and feel like you’re in a romantic movie.
Our Los Angeles wedding catering company had so much fun bartending from the Saloon. Our staff poured dark beer in classic mugs, red wine straight from oak barrels, and sarsaparilla for the kiddies. The couple also brought in a rousing four-piece bluegrass band to play on the boardwalk in front of the hotel. With suds sloshing in everyone’s mug and the toe tappin’ music… it was quite the wedding party!
After cocktail hour had wrapped, guests meandered over to the dining hall where our all organic, Los Angeles wedding catering company had set up tables and chairs decorated with rustic centerpieces of mason jar candles, oil lanterns, twine wrapped bundles of wheat, and vintage table doilies.
A lot of Los Angeles wedding caterers serve frozen food but everything we serve is fresh and local. For the main course, the couple chose to have a buffet. Serving a wedding buffet style is a great way to save on wedding costs while also making sure your guests get exactly what they want. We served up a baby spinach salad tossed with our house dressing, a juicy grilled Mahi Mahi with fresh mango and shallots, our hardy vegetable lasagna with roasted tomato sauce, Wild Mushroom Quinoa (which has been a very popular summer menu item), and an assortment of grilled Farmers Market vegetables.
We had such a fun time being apart of Erin and Dan’s unique wedding and we can’t wait to show you more photos. These photos are just a little tease from Marin Rosche, of Marin Rosche Photography.
Los Angeles Wedding Caterer: Eco Caters
Since Eco Caters is right across the street from the Smog Shoppe, our Los Angeles wedding catering makes planning is a breeze.
I know I’ve said this a million times, but it bears repeating: our Los Angeles wedding catering company is within spitting distance of the Smog Shoppe! (Which, I guess, your welcome to try if you don’t believe me…) So, when couples like Marie and Huong come in to see us and say they’re having a wedding across the street, we get gitty! We love that we’re closer than any other Los Angeles wedding caterer to the Smog Shoppe. We’ve done a ton of weddings over the years with the Smog Shoppe (and their sister location, The Marvimon House), and we love working with them. We love their dedication to sustainable design, we love the atmosphere they create for celebration, and our proximity to one another makes event planning a breeze for everyone involved, including our clients Marie and Huong.
Something we pride ourselves on over other Los Angeles wedding caterers is making sure that each of our clients receive the custom wedding they deserve. Our Los Angeles catering company worked diligently to create Marie and Huong’s all-organic cuisine. It was important to our clients that their dishes incorporate some of their favorite ingredients and flavors. Dana, our Event Coordinator, worked intimately with the couple to achieve the wedding menu they desired. Together they came up with a menu that combined an assortment of stationary and tray passed hors d’oeuvers during cocktail hour and a hardy feast for their reception dinner, melding the richness of French cooking with the local fruits and vegetables of California.
During cocktail hour our staff mixed drinks for guests from the open bar, and tray passed a savory Pork Rillette with Pain a l’Ancienne (a flavorful grilled bread loaf) with bright Pickled Onion, and our always popular Mini Beef Sliders. Guests were also offered a spread of stationary appetizers that included antipasto with marinated artichoke, sweet peppers with wild arugula, marinated cherry tomato with mozzarella, and mixed olives with crostini. All of our food is local and organic, something we think you’ll taste over other Los Angeles wedding caterers.
As guests took their seats at repurposed wood tables in the roomy Smog Shoppe dining area, our Los Angeles catering team went to work. Our staff brought out large, family-style dishes for guests to share. To start off, we put together a simple salad made from wild arugula leaves, tossed with Farmers Market vegetables, shallots, crumbled bleu cheese, and our homemade vinaigrette dressing. For the main course, our chef slow roasted a braised beef brisket with garlic and Heirloom Tomatos. For sides, our Los Angeles wedding catering company dished up brussels sprouts seasoned with course mustard, roasted potatoes with chopped dill, and our rich and creamy, Gouda Mac-N-Cheese.
We hope our Los Angeles wedding caterer team made your day a special one. We were honored to partake in Marie and Huong’s wedding. They were such a fun couple to work with and their friends and family were a true pleasure to serve. From all of us at Eco Caters, we wish you two nothing but the best. Cheers!

Here at Eco Caters our chefs choose organic food because they love its superior taste and quality. While more and more chefs are starting to agree with us, it’s our satisfied clients that matter most. Our clients taste the difference and their guests do to.
So, what is Organic? Simply put, organic food is grown without the use of pesticides, sewage sludge, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. Livestock that produce meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products do not take antibiotics or growth hormones. It doesn’t take a scientist to figure out that these chemicals and practices are unhealthy for our food, they’re also unhealthy for our bodies.
Mother nature has done a pretty good job of growing fruits and vegetables over the last several hundred million years, and I don’t think she needs our help. Organic food lasts longer, tastes better and is better for you. The more intense flavors in organic fruits and vegetables probably stem from two factors: higher average levels of antioxidants, and lower average crop yields. When it comes to livestock like beef, you can literally taste the grass in the steak! We here at Eco Caters also tend to use less salt on our organic food because it requires less sodium to bring out the flavor.
Organic produce tends to store better and has a longer shelf life. (Next time you’re in your grocery store take a look at the expiration dates on the organic milk and compare it to the other milk. It’s surprising!) This factor is due to lower levels of nitrates and higher average levels of antioxidants. The fact that our Los Angeles catering company buys all-organic (and local) food means that we cater thee absolute freshest and best tasting food around.
Does organic food cost more? The truth of the matter is that organic food doesn’t always cost more. Some items, such as coffee, cereal, bread, and even certain meats, may cost the same if not less than their conventional counterparts. And, as the demand for organics continues to grow, the cost will continue to come down.
If you want great food, you have to start with great ingredients. We think you’ll agree with our past clients that Eco Caters brings the freshest ingredients on earth, to you. We put as much love into preparing our food as we do selecting the local farms that our produce comes from. And it shows.
If you’re planning a wedding or special event in the Los Angeles or San Diego area, you owe it to yourself to come in and have a tasting. The food speaks for itself. And, since we buy local you’ll be supporting your community!
Our team gets excited every time Style Me Pretty posts one of our events and we just wanted to share it with you!
Style Me Pretty is blog dedicated to the who’s who of wedding vendors, artists and caterers. Style Me Pretty also puts together an annual wedding book that highlights some of the best weddings of the year. It’s a collection of some of the most creative and chic weddings in the world.
Plain and simple, Smog Shoppe = style. Fact. It’s like a magnet for couples with flair – which is obvious with just one glance of this new Mr. & Mrs. When you combine all of that style with the talents of All You Need is Love Events, and you get to see it all come to life through the lens of Adrienne Gunde – that’s when you hit the SMP sweet spot. And really what’s better than that? It’s a style-savvy, detail-filled love fest, and and you can see every little bit of the goodness right here!
From the first day Ayumi and Brian came to visit our Los Angeles wedding catering team, to seeing them drive off for their honeymoon, the couple had an infectious smile on their face. Our Los Angeles wedding catering company, Eco Caters, partnered with the Smog Shoppe to rein in this happy, and very giggly occasion.
Style Me Pretty had a nice writeup on the wedding our Los Angeles wedding caterers had the pleasure to serve. In the article, Ayumi talked about the feel the couple was going for : “The one thing we knew we wanted for our wedding was for it to reflect who we are and what we hold dear to our hearts: family, friends, and fun. We wanted great food, good drinks, lots of personalized touches, and a day surrounded by all the people we love in a warm and inviting, laid-back atmosphere.” As a Los Angeles wedding caterer we just love knowing we helped them create a day that was truly their own.
Our Los Angeles wedding caterers put together a cheerful dinner to celebrate the couples wedding. Guests savored our Farmers Market salad made of wild arugula greens tossed with crumbled blue cheese, sweet nectarines and our house Apple Cider Vinaigrette. Then it was on to the main course: pasture raised Braised Beef Brisket with fall tomatoes, sweet Pineapple Pork, and flaky grilled Pacific Fish with a side of our secret Coconut Sauce. The proteins were complimented with roasted Brussels sprouts tossed in course ground mustard, and our rich-n-creamy Gouda Mac & Cheese.
Displaying candy in these old toolboxes was such a great idea! The couple had friends and family decorate their wedding from top to bottom and they creatively utilized the vintage, car shop feel of the Smog Shoppe.
“To pay homage to the Smog Shoppe’s past as an auto body shop and the groom and groomsmen’s love of cars, we wanted to bring in automobile related elements. Our bridesmaids helped us purchase toolboxes from a local flea market to use as our card box and candy bar. One of our groomsmen surprised us by having a friend pinstripe the boxes, while another hand-lettered the toolboxes. He also painted our drink and buffet menus, keeping a retro style and incorporating more pinstriping. My father-in-law then built a beautiful pegboard – like the kind used in garages for organizing tools – for us to use to display our escort cards.”
The wedding photos for Ayumi and Brian’s wedding are amazing! Adrienne Gunde of Adrienne Gunde Photography captured the day with a keen eye on detail. The photos pop with brilliant colors and bottle the energy of each moment. Visit Style Me Pretty to view more photos from this wedding! As a Los Angeles wedding caterer we found her to be a great photographer to work with.
A very special thanks to Ayumi and Brian for making Eco Caters apart of their special wedding. You kept us smiling all day long and all through the night.
