Our Los Angeles Wedding Caterers Serve up a San Antonio Mountain Wedding

The San Antonio Mountains is the perfect getaway spot for a private Los Angeles wedding.

Ninety minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Los Angeles rests the secluded San Antonio Mountain Range. It’s a playground for nature lovers and the perfect wedding spot for Laura and Isak, a bubbly young couple with infectious personalities.

To plan their wedding they chose Dana Strommen and her team of Los Angeles wedding caterers to oversee every detail of their special day.  Eco Caters, our organic Los Angeles catering company coordinated and catered this one of a kind wedding.

As guests exited off Interstate onto highway 2, they were treated to a breathtaking drive through the mountains.  The road meanders through panoramic views of canyons, waterfalls, and lush mountain meadows.  Once friends and family entered the wedding grounds they were greeted with refreshments served by our Los Angeles wedding catering company.  Iced pitchers of mint-infused water, sun-brewed iced tea, and Watermelon Aqua Fresco quenched thirsty patrons and and set a relaxing mood for the rest of the day.

Guests took their seats on distressed wooden chairs under a trusty ol’ oak tree.  The tree’s twisted branches stretched out overhead and offered ample shade, while the trunk served as the perfect backdrop for their intimate ceremony.

Following the ceremony family and friends mingled in a grassy field at the foot of a mountain.  Guests were served beer, wine and soft drinks from the open bar, while LA’s organic catering company, tray passed Hors d’Oeuvres.   Our chef and his Los Angeles wedding caterers prepared Cold Cucumber-Mint Shooters and Papaya Gazpacho Shooters from all organic and locally grown vegetables.

Everyone took their seats to hear a few words from the bride and groom while we all took in a breathtaking sunset.  After both families shared their love and excitement for the new couple, it was time to eat!

One hundred and forty hungry guests lined up for our catered buffet.  Our Los Angeles wedding catering company dished up melt-in-your-mouth braised pork shoulder with a tangy roasted garlic BBQ sauce, freshly grilled pacific fish with a bright mango salsa, grilled Los Angeles Farmers Market vegetables, wild rice pilaf with forest mushrooms, Farmers Market leafy salad with our house made vinaigrette dressing, and chef’s signature black bean, grilled corn and avocado salad.  Some guests came back for seconds, thirds and even fourths!  Something any Los Angeles wedding caterer loves to see.

After our Los Angeles wedding catering company cleared everyone’s plates a local band took the wooden stage dug into the side of the hill.  The green lawn/dance floor sprung to life with children, couples and a barefoot wedding party.  The band played favorite hits of the bride and groom while Eco Caters laid out a candle lit spread of wedding cake, coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate with little marshmallows.  After speaking with the couple and making sure everything was satisfactory, our Los Angeles wedding catering company quietly cleaned up and slipped out while the celibration carried on into the night.

Laura and Isak, our entire team had such a wonderful time at your wedding that we all kind of feel like we were in your wedding.  We’ve enjoyed keeping in touch and we’re so glad you joined us for our Eco Caters Holiday Party this last week;  you both filled the room with joy and laughter, and you two were outstanding cooks in our Iron Chef Competition. (Which we will have to do again some night!)   So, from all of us at Eco Caters, we want to wish you two the happiest of holidays, and a warmest congratulations!  Cheers!
