It seems like every other weekend our Los Angeles catering team is catering a wedding at the Smog Shoppe. This weekend was no different. We are in love with the Smog Shoppe! (And we’re not just saying that because our office is right across the street.) It’s one of the coolest venues in town. Hands down.
Our clients, Citadelle and Victor had a beautiful traditional wedding ceremony at the St. Timothy Catholic Church (which is just a few short miles from the Smog Shoppe on Pico), with their family and friends. Once they kissed, they all raced back to the Smog Shoppe to get the party started with cocktail hour and music by DJ Eric Tandoc.
Our Los Angeles wedding catering team opened up our organic wedding buffet with a fresh tossed salad of wild Arugula, fresh fruit and our house Apple Cider Vinaigrette. The produce for the salad was hand picked and purchased by our chef, the day before the wedding, at our local Farmers Market. Freshness is something we pride ourselves on.
Since Blueberries were in season, our Los Angeles wedding catering team served a sweet and spicy Chipotle Blueberry Chicken (which Citadelle and Victor’s raved about during their food tasting with us). The couple also enjoyed our locally caught Halibut topped with Mango Salsa so our catering team worked out a budget for them to serve both at their wedding. Paired with the two proteins were sides of our crowd pleasing Gouda Mac & Cheese and a colorful selection of grilled farmers market vegetables that included roasted red pepper, carrots, zucchini, and green onions.
Our Los Angeles wedding caterers also prepared a flavorful feast for the kiddies, which entailed baked chicken fingers served with carrots, green beans and our house ranch dressing. We are happy to report that all the kids ate their vegetables that night! Where as the adults… Well, they did a, “pretty good job” on their vegetables.
Once the plates were cleared the guests tossed their napkins aside and hit the dance floor. DJ Eric Tandoc did a spectacular job of keeping the energy flowing. In order to keep the friends and family of Citadelle and Victor fueled and jiving, our Los Angeles wedding catering team brought out some delicious late night snacks: organic beef sliders with smoked cheddar, caramelized onions on adorable little sesame buns.
A special thanks to Citadelle and Victor for choosing Eco Caters as their Los Angeles wedding caterer, Porto’s Bakery for their devilishly good cakes, and to photographer Andria Lo for capturing the mood of this joyous calibration. Andria Lo is based out San Francisco and we enjoyed working with her. Please, take the time to give her photos a look! She does amazing work: http://www.andrialo.com
