Eco Caters goes for a hay ride at The Wright Ranch in Malibu!

Well, minus the hay!  This bride chose Eco Caters, Los Angeles Wedding Catering Division, to not only cater, but completely coordinate their nuptials.

A spectacular, green day in Mid-August was the backdrop for this entertaining, heartwarming wedding.  When we began the planning process, the bride had already picked her venue which “offers complete privacy, elegant natural beauty and versatility – perfect for a gathering of friends”.   The was the perfect setting for this family of vocalists and musicians.  The bride gave her speech in the form of song which made not only the guests draw tears, but our Los Angeles Wedding Catering crew as well.  Among the various musicians who got up at random to play tunes, was a 15 minute set performed by the Boingo Boys.  The bride and groom had this to say about our Los Angeles Wedding Caterers, “You and your team were an absolute dream and handled all of our ridiculous / changing requests with admirable professionalism. Many of our guests and musicians commented to me how lovely all of your staff were.  Thanks for making this event possible.  🙂 We look forward to working with you again very soon. -Bear & Raya”

Another heartwarming part of the evening was their menu.  Our Los Angeles Wedding Caterers began with tray passing during cocktail hour of Roasted Chicken Crostini, Melon Basil Skewers and Thai Tempeh Skewers.  Moving into dinner with buffets with each item portioned by our Los Angeles Wedding Catering staff, with Herb Crusted Sirloin, Chicken & Sausage Spaghetti Jambalaya and Spicy Coconut Curry.  The accompaniments of Truffle Potato Puree and Grilled Farmers Market Vegetables kept the guests even warmer as the night stars brought in a little chill.

What made this a Green day was not just the blooming mountains and hills, but the use of Bio-degradable products throughout the entire wedding.  Our Los Angeles Wedding Caterer prefers the use of VerTerra plates and Aspen Ware utensils.  VerTerra is a completely bio-degradable product made out of falling bamboo leaves.   It is BPI-certified compostable and tests show that compost that contains VerTerra enhances plant growth over 15%.  Aspen Ware is not only making bio-degradable products but their plant runs on hydro-electric power and their manufacturing processes emit minimal, if any, carbon.  I can go on and on about both companies, their products and how we, a Los Angeles Wedding Caterer, are caring for the environment.   But we are talking about Bear and Raya and how they made their wedding Green.
