HISTORY

Once the jewel in the crown of the Green Hotel in its heyday, by the time it was discovered by its current owner, Ron Hobbs, this great banquet hall had fallen into disrepair. Decades of neglect had rendered the once grand space unrecognizable
with peeling paint and broken pillar capitals, mirrors and baseboards had been badly painted, and it was littered with long-forgotten stage sets. Yet it’s faded beauty couldn’t hide its glamorous past or its potential to shine brightly
once more.

Inspired, Ron gave the space a top to toe renovation and newly minted name, and now the Romanesque Room, a Registered Historical Landmark , has been restored to its former glory. Unique even in its golden age, this special banquet hall
is a rare find in the present day.

THE LOCALE

The venue’s location in Old Town Pasadena, one of L.A.’s loveliest neighborhoods, is always a hit with out-of-state guests who love the local restaurants, stores, galleries and museums.

Situated beneath the lofty San Gabriel Mountains, Pasadena is renowned for its genteel spirit, community of art and jazz lovers. It’s also home to some of the region’s most stunning attractions like Huntingdon Library, Gamble House , Angeles
National Forest, and, of course, the Tournament of the Roses, featuring the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl football games. Pasadena has great transport links as it’s just under 30 miles from LAX airport so your guests could use the LAX
Flyaway bus or Metro Gold Line.

When you celebrate with friends and family at the Romanesque Room, you’ll be part of a little slice of history. One of Pasadena’s hidden gems–even some locals don’t know it exists!
